I am very fortunate to have found this website called Strip Generator http://www.stripgenerator.com . It allows you to use pre-created cartoon images and you are able to use your imagination to bring your message across.I have uploaded a simple cartoon strip that I created to bring home the message of mentoring. What is amazing is that it took me just a few minutes to create an effective visual that I can also upload in my powerpoint slides.
How is this useful for mentoring?
In every workplace, there are certain issues that cause friction and sometimes top management chooses to sweep these problems "under the carpet". It is up to the Mentor and Protege to use cartoons to discuss it and even come out with "out-of-the-box" solutions.
Cartoons can also be used to create scenarios for future crisis management discussions.
The Mentor can also use cartoons to motivate the protege too. Please refer to this simple motivational piece that I created above.
